Spring around the corner.....

15 Feb - A lunchtime visit to Shorncote at CWP, in sunny weather with a hint of spring. A brief view of the Siberian Chiffchaff, with a Chiffchaff for comparison - also there, a singing Cetti's Warbler, 10+ Reed Buntings, a few Redwings and Fieldfares, a Meadow Pipit, and a Grey Wagtail over. Waders included a nice flock of 50+ Golden Plovers with 300+ Lapwings, and a calling Snipe. 2 Water Rails were calling in the reeds, and a Little Egret flew over.
