SEOs and odds and ends........

Jan 2 - a sunny day after yesterday, and a walk at Cirencester Park didn't produce any Bramblings with the Chaffinches, but a good range of woodland species included Marsh Tit, 11 (!) Nuthatches, Treecreeper and 3 Jays. Late afternoon the conditions were perfect for the matinee performance by the Short-eared Owls and they obliged......excellent views of up to 3 birds, not quite close enough for good photos though. Also 3 Ravens and a male Stonechat - and the owls again flushed at least 2 Snipe. Year list up to 93.
