6 Jan - A quick morning visit in fine weather, after the recent severe winds, but no sign of the Great Grey Shrike between 9 and 10. A female Sparrowhawk, 300+ Lapwing over, 2 Snipe and 3 Green Sandpipers (4), c15 Reed Buntings, c10 Meadow Pipits, c40 Teal, and Water Rail and Cetti's Warblers heard. 3 Mistle Thrushes and 7 Song Thrushes seen. A Roe Deer was sunning itself (3).
