8 October - A couple of stunning photos......firstly, (1) an amazing shot of the Shetland Siberian Rubythroat, copyright Jim Nicolson, better than any of my shots from Beidaihe........ And (2) a lovely but poignant shot of an adult Spoon-billed Sandpiper from Rudong on the east coast of China by, copyright, Craig Brelsford, this declining species is an icon of the East Asian Flyway.
