More migrants

3,4 April - CWP. A good variety of waders seen during the week at Keynes Park pit 79 and at KE quarry - Ringed and Little Ringed Plovers (displaying), also Golden Plover, Oystercatcher, Snipe, Redshank, Green Sandpiper and a Little Stint at KE quarry. 2 White Wagtails were on pit 79 on 3 April.

5 April - an excellent early morning visit to Cleeve Hill produced a flighty and elusive pair of Ring Ouzels (upper, photo copyright Gloster Birder) by the 11th tee on the golf course, also 3 Wheatears (see lower photo) in the same area. A male Stonechat was also seen, and at nearby Hawling a Corn Bunting was singing.
