Red-necked Phalarope and Curlew Sandpipers at Slimbridge



2 Sept - A morning visit to Slimbridge, and the juvenile Red-necked Phalarope (upper) still present, feeding and flying around in front of the Zeiss Hide. 8 Curlew Sandpipers seen well at close range on South Lake (lower, photo, copyright Tom Mabbett). Also present on the reserve - 2 Spotted Redshanks, 56 Black-tailed Godwits, a juvenile Little Ringed Plover, 8 Ruff, a Green Sandpiper, a Redshank, 50+ Dunlin and 30+ Lapwings.
