Spring springing......

11 Apr - A productive half hour at the CWP this morning - a probable Arctic Tern at pit 200, with 2 LRPs and a singing Willow Warbler there - and a Common Tern over pit 74, with 5+ Swallows and 20+ Sand Martins - also Cetti's Warbler and Chiffchaff singing by Twitcher's gate. Wildfowl included 5 Goldeneye (2drakes) and 3 Pintail (2drakes) and a pair of Redshank were very vocal. And the one that got away......an Osprey was at Coate this evening, and was seen to fly towards Marlborough road, so probably flew over the surgery! Southerly winds forecast this weekend will probably bring a rush of migrants.......
