4 Sep - An American rarity has been at Fairford, CWP (E) for a couple of days.....Air Force One, parked up at the airbase while President Obama is at the NATO summit. This evening, after a wait due to the President's detour to Stonehenge, his arrival at the base was heralded by 3 Ospreys (planes, not birds!) and then 2 Blackhawk helicopters, and I saw Mr Obama climb out of Marine One in the dusk and board his 747 before it taxied out and took off into the gathering darkness. Quite an array of lenses on display along the roadside, a bit like a twitch really.....photos in the gathering gloom by JM.
