3 March - An afternoon visit to Farmoor failed to produce the hoped-for Bittern that has been feeding on Pinkhill reserve, but compensation was in the form of close views of the 2 wintering Great Northern Divers, and a daylight Barn Owl. A Rock Pipit was seen briefly on the causeway.
