The last Swallow.....

Oct 2 - the last juvenile Swallow from the local birds was still feeding over the buildings and fields this morning, but had set off for its long and hazardous migration by evening, as the Indian summer was drawing to a close.....the Swallows and House Martins have definitely had an excellent breeding season, several broods and many juveniles being in evidence.
