Blakehill revisited........

Jan 8 - a late afternoon visit to Blakehill with the sun out, but surprisingly the Short-eared Owls didn't appear until it was quite dark at around 4.35pm. There was a good selection of raptors - a Peregrine on a kill which eventually flew off to roost at 4.30pm. Also a female Sparrowhawk spiralled over, 2 Buzzards and 2 Kestrels. 2 male and a female Stonechat were feeding around the fence line, and a flock of 50+ Fieldfare fed on the grassland.
