Marsh Harrier at Shorncote! (and 2 days in Extremadura 11-12 April)

13 April - My purple patch at Shorncote continues, following the Osprey a couple of weeks ago this evening a female Marsh Harrier passed through Shorncote - I picked it up distantly over the reedbed, and managed a few record shots (1,2). A long awaited bird here given the habitat. Also a Yellow Wagtail, a male Wheatear (3,4), 6 Snipe, 2 LRP and singing Sedge and Cetti's Warblers. Photos - Gadwall (5), Mute Swan (6,7) Buzzard (8,9). Also 3 Curlew at pit 74.
